Team Scuderia Estoras Hits Hard in Quesnel: Comebacks, Chaos & Class

Quesnel, BC – Round 2 of the Regional Series delivered everything you could ask for — tight grids, mechanical drama, wild weather, and non-stop action. Scuderia Estoras came in with five drivers across multiple classes, two of whom ran double duty, and the team did not disappoint. From back-of-the-grid recoveries to podium finishes, the weekend was full of grit, talent, and unforgettable performances.

Marco Kacic: From Setback to Top Step (Tag Senior)

Marco Kacic was flying from the start in Tag Senior, qualifying just 0.0015 seconds off pole — one of the tightest margins we’ve seen all season.

In Heat 1, Marco stayed in second for most of the race while keeping his tires fresh, then made a move for the lead in the closing laps. The final corner turned into a three-wide shootout, and Marco finished P2 by mere inches.

Heat 2 ended early with a loose bumper, but Sunday brought redemption. Despite engine issues, he fought his way to P3 in the Pre-Final, only to be disqualified due to a carburetor infraction. That sent him to P14 for the Final — but the comeback was on. With the kart finally dialed in, Marco sliced through the field, set the fastest lap of the race, and finished P2. A post-race penalty for another driver awarded him the win.

“Not the way you want to win, but after everything we fought through, I’m proud of that drive.”

Devon Radosevic: Fire and Fight (Tag Senior)

Also in Tag Senior, Devon Radosevic had a strong weekend. He qualified P7, dropped to P8 in Heat 1, then bounced back in Heat 2 with a clean drive to P4.

In the Pre-Final, he finished P5. In the Final, a mid-race bump with teammate Marco while charging through the pack dropped him to P7, but he showed strong pace throughout the weekend.

“The kart felt great. We had the speed, just needed a cleaner final. Still lots to build on.”

Patrick Kleine: Holding His Own in Two Worlds (Briggs Heavy & Shifter DD2)

In Briggs Heavy, Patrick qualified P16 and steadily improved throughout the weekend. He climbed to P12 in Heat 1, and after a sprocket adjustment, moved up to P10 in Heat 2. A mistake in the Pre-Final cost a few spots, but he rallied to P11 in the Final, just outside the top 10.

Meanwhile, in Shifter, Patrick ran a 2-speed Rotax DD2 against a field of full 6-speed machines. He qualified P7 — expected given the power difference — then muscled his way to P4 in Heat 1, and an impressive P3 in Heat 2.

The Sunday competition was fierce. He brought the DD2 home P7 in the Pre-Final, and P6 in the Final — an excellent result given the equipment gap.

“Not bad for a 2-speed battling six-speed beasts. The kart felt solid, and I learned a lot.”

Dan Monteiro: The Big Bounce Back (Tag Masters & Shifter)

Dan’s weekend was the ultimate tale of two classes.

In Tag Masters, he qualified P19 and suffered mechanical DNFs in both heats. Sunday was a new day: he climbed to P16 in the Pre-Final, and up to P11 in the Final, salvaging strong points after a tough start.

In Shifter, however, Dan was in top form. Piloting a full 6-speed race kart, he qualified P4, then powered up to P2 in both Heat 1 and Heat 2. On Sunday, he held his own against stiff competition, taking P3 in the Pre-Final and locking in a P3 podium in the Final — Scuderia’s first shifter-class podium of the season.

“This kart is wild — but it’s so much fun to drive. Pumped to be back on the box.”

Teagan Kleine: Double-Class Determination (Tag Junior & Jr 2 Briggs)

Teagan ran double duty this weekend and delivered strong performances in both classes.

In Tag Junior, he qualified P5, then had a great run to P3 in Heat 1. A wide line cost him in Heat 2, dropping him to P5. Sunday brought more bad luck — a mechanical issue in the Pre-Final and a dead battery on the grid for the Final meant an early end to that race day.

But Teagan bounced back hard in Junior 2 Briggs. He qualified P8 of 13, held position in Heat 1, and slipped to P10 in Heat 2. In the Pre-Final, he was pushed off track and sent to the back for the Final.

Starting last, he put on a clinical drive — passing kart after kart and charging to P6 before the checkered flag dropped, closing fast on the top three.

“That final was probably my favorite race all weekend. I just wish I had two more laps.”

Quesnel: What a Track. What a Weekend.

Quesnel isn’t just a beautiful spot on the map — it’s home to one of the most challenging and rewarding tracks in BC. Tight, technical, and fast where it counts, it’s a true driver’s circuit that forces you to bring your A-game.

We want to give a huge thank you to the volunteers, race officials, track marshals, firefighters, medics, and everyone else who made Round 2 possible. Your effort created a world-class event, and we felt the passion all weekend long.

We can’t wait to return next year.

Onward to Round 3 — WCKC, Here We Come

With Round 2 in the books, the team now sets its sights on Round 3 in Chilliwack at WCKC next month. Momentum is building. Confidence is high. And Scuderia Estoras is coming in full throttle.

See you at the track. Let’s go.
