Spring Testing at Mission Raceway – F4 Season Prep Begins

This past Easter Monday, we brought our F4 car out to Mission Raceway for a spring test session during a Speed Fanatics lapping day. Even with the holiday, the paddock was packed—it was great to see so many motorsport enthusiasts out on track getting a head start on the season.

For us at Scuderia Estoras, this was an important test. Over the off-season, we installed a new engine components and some new mechanical components including new suspension, back wing and side pod. This was our first real chance to put them through their paces. The engine ran smoothly and stayed well within temperature specs, which is always a good sign early on.

We started the day with a basic installation lap, checking systems and getting the car warmed up. After that, we ran a full session focused on bringing everything up to temp and logging data on how the car handled the updates. Everything worked as expected, and we got some solid feedback from the session.

We also tested a lap timer and data logging system, which will help us give our drivers more useful data for analysis. That system worked well, and it’ll be a good tool for coaching and setup moving forward.

Another key piece we tested was our newly modified trailer, which is now set up specifically to support our F4 operations. It’s a big upgrade in terms of convenience and efficiency at the track, and it performed exactly as planned.

Before our next outing, we’ll be finishing up electrical system updates to make sure everything is reliable and ready to go.

Looking ahead, we’ll soon be opening up our F4 Arrive & Drive program, as well as Test Before You Buy sessions for drivers looking to try out formula racing. It’s a great way to get behind the wheel and see what F4 is all about in a well-supported environment.

Thanks to everyone who came out—we’re looking forward to the next event.
