Scuderia Estoras hit the road for the 2025 Rotax Canadian Karting Championships, hosted at the legendary Stratotech Raceway just outside Edmonton, Alberta. The 15-hour drive from BC was packed with laughs, music, motorsport banter, and anticipation. This was one of the biggest national karting events of the year—and the team was ready.

Representing the team:
Marco Kacic and Devon Radosevic in Rotax Senior
Teagan Kleine in Rotax Junior
Patrick Kleine in Rotax DD2 Senior
Stratotech Raceway: Fast, Technical, and Unforgiving
Stratotech Raceway isn’t just any track—it’s a high-speed, high-stakes circuit with a reputation for pushing drivers to their limits. The layout features long straights, wide sweeping corners, and a few deceptively technical sections. But what truly defines the circuit are the mid-corner bumps—which can unsettle the kart during turn-in or braking. The result? A layout that demands not just pace, but precision and confidence. It's a driver’s track—and it tested everyone who lined up.
Driver Highlights
Marco Kacic – Rotax Senior
Marco came into the weekend with serious pace—running in the top four in nearly every practice session, and topping the charts in the final session on Thursday. Heading into qualifying, confidence was high.
But then things took a turn.
In warm-up before qualifying, Marco’s engine wouldn’t fire. Despite a frantic effort to diagnose the issue, time ran out. We bolted on a backup engine with a slightly different power band and gearing—but Marco wasn’t able to get into rhythm and qualified P32. From front-runner to the back of the grid—it was a bitter pill to swallow.
In Race 1, Marco came out swinging. He was passing 2–3 karts per lap in the opening stages and charging forward. But while making a move into Turn 1, he was involved in contact that bent the front end and forced a DNF. That moment would unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the weekend—tremendous speed, but an uphill battle at every turn.
Despite the setbacks, Marco delivered some of the most exciting drives of the entire championship, setting fastest laps in multiple heats and clawing his way back into contention. He recovered to start P5 in the pre-final for Race 3.
Rain had just stopped before Race 3, and we made a gamble on tire pressures and gearing. In hindsight, it didn’t work out. Marco lacked grip and low-end drive early on, unable to defend or attack. The pace returned late in the race, but by then it was too late. He crossed the line in P10.
A weekend of missed opportunities—but also proof that Marco is still one of the fastest drivers in the country. The pace is there. We’ll regroup, reset, and come back stronger.
Devon Radosevic – Rotax Senior
Devon made his national-level debut with Scuderia Estoras at Stratotech, entering the senior class with measured expectations and a mindset to learn. But it was immediately clear that he had the pace to hang with the country’s best.Top-20 in practice set the tone for a promising weekend.
Race 1 was a mixed bag. He struggled to hook up a clean lap in qualifying, landing P33 on the grid. Despite the challenge, Devon kept his head down and executed a solid pre-final to finish P27, before crossing the line P31 in the final—making steady progress and soaking up race experience every session.
Race 2 was where he really started to shine. Devon qualified P24 and was showing strong pace in the early stages of the pre-final. But disaster struck—another driver drove over the back of his kart, causing damage and inflicting a painful rib injury. Despite being in visible discomfort, Devon pushed through to finish P29, then gritted out the final to take P30.
For Race 3, Devon was forced to sit out due to the severity of the rib injury—especially with the wet conditions adding to the risk.
While the results sheet may not reflect it, Devon’s performance was a victory in resilience and professionalism. He handled the pressure of his first nationals with composure, fought through pain, and showed he has the raw talent and mindset to compete at this level. We’re proud of his debut, and excited for what’s ahead.
Teagan Kleine – Rotax Junior
If there was a standout moment for Scuderia Estoras, it came from Teagan Kleine, who delivered the performance of his young career.
This was Teagan’s first-ever national-level event, entering a paddock filled with North America’s most experienced and aggressive Junior Rotax drivers. With no expectations and a mindset focused on growth, he quietly became the driver who turned the most heads.
In Race 1, Teagan qualified P16, a strong showing that surprised many who hadn’t seen his name before. But he wasn’t done—he launched off the line in the pre-final, made smart overtakes, and steadily climbed through the pack to finish P9. In the final, he was thrown into intense mid-pack battles but held his own, defending cleanly and attacking when it mattered. He finished P13, marking his best-ever result to date.
In Race 2, he backed it up with another solid qualifying effort, again starting P15. The pre-final saw him battling with seasoned drivers lap after lap. Despite contact and tight wheel-to-wheel action, Teagan stayed cool, consistent, and focused, finishing P11. The final was a bruising race full of momentum shifts, but he managed the chaos well and brought it home in P14, showing his growing maturity and discipline under pressure.
Then came Race 3, where the skies opened up. Rain hit just before the race, turning the track slick and unpredictable. Teagan handled the changing conditions with remarkable composure. He qualified P15, advanced to P10 in the pre-final, and crossed the line in a strong P12 in the final.
Through it all, Teagan displayed the traits of a future front-runner—calm under fire, sharp decision-making, and steady improvement with every session. He didn’t just survive his first nationals—he thrived. This was a breakout moment, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
Patrick Kleine – Rotax DD2 Senior
For Patrick Kleine, the 2025 Rotax Canadian Championships presented a unique and personal challenge. With no DD2 Masters class available, Patrick entered the Rotax DD2 Senior division—a fast and physically demanding category normally dominated by younger drivers with international experience.
At over 40 pounds heavier and nearly two decades older than the typical DD2 Senior competitor, Patrick was fully aware of the uphill battle ahead. Despite being at a clear disadvantage, he took it all in stride and focused on gaining experience, learning from every session, and completing every lap.
In Race 1, Patrick qualified P11, which put him near the back of the relatively small but competitive field. He maintained position in the pre-final, finishing P12, and followed it up with a solid P11 finish in the final. It was a clean and consistent drive—exactly what he needed to build confidence heading into the weekend.
In Race 2, Patrick once again qualified P11, and brought home P12 finishes in both the pre-final and final. While not the flashiest results, his consistency and calm decision-making stood out. He avoided contact, made no major mistakes, and steadily improved his feel for the DD2 kart with every session.
Then came Race 3, where the track was hit by rain just before the start. Wet conditions are never easy, especially in DD2 machinery, but Patrick managed it well. He stayed focused through the changing grip levels, qualified P11, and delivered one of his strongest drives of the weekend with a P10 in the pre-final. The final saw him slide back slightly to P12, but it was another composed effort in tricky conditions.
Patrick took on this weekend with realism, professionalism, and determination. He knew the field would be fast—and he met the challenge with a steady hand and a focused mindset.
