Race 2 Recap – 2025 WCKC Championships: A Weekend of Lessons and Resilience for Scuderia Estoras

Race 2 of the 2025 WCKC Championships proved to be one of the most challenging weekends yet for Scuderia Estoras. Just days before the event, our new chassis finally arrived—but with little time to test, the learning curve was steep. Our team spent the entire weekend fine-tuning setup and configuration, trying to catch up with the rest of the field. And while it took until the final races to find our pace, we ended the weekend with valuable data and renewed determination.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t just setup challenges that slowed us down. The weekend was marked by a series of aggressive on-track incidents. Multiple drivers from our team were pushed off track and into barriers or the grass by competitors, and disappointingly, many of these actions went unpenalized. But as always, we don’t make excuses—we regroup, refocus, and move forward.

Heavy Briggs – Patrick Kleine

Patrick delivered a consistent performance in a tricky class. After qualifying P5, he maintained his position in both the pre-final and final to finish P5 across the board. With the new chassis finally dialed in, we expect Patrick to be fighting further up the grid next time out.

Senior Briggs – Patrick Conaty

Patrick Conaty made his race debut in one of the most competitive categories on the grid. Despite facing disqualification in both qualifying and pre-final due to weight issues, he put on a solid performance in the final, finishing P14 out of 22. It was a fantastic first showing, and we’re excited to watch this young driver grow.

Senior Rotax – Marco Kacic

Marco was absolutely flying in one of the most crowded and competitive fields of the weekend. He secured pole position in qualifying and P1 in the pre-final. In the final, despite being hit mid-race, he brought it home in P4. Surprisingly, no penalty was given for the contact—but Marco’s pace speaks for itself, and we know he’ll come back stronger.

Tag Junior – Teagan Kleine

Mechanical issues plagued Teagan in qualifying, preventing him from recording a time and forcing a back-of-the-grid start. He fought his way up to P6 in the pre-final, but an injury sustained earlier in Briggs forced him to retire early in the final. Teagan will return to full strength next round and will no doubt be back in the fight.

Tag Cadet Elite Micro – Ava Jude-Lilly

Ava faced a difficult weekend, beginning with a disqualification in qualifying. She gained four positions in the pre-final to finish P10, showing great tenacity. In the final, a hit from behind caused her to drop back to P11. Ava remains determined and focused—we know she’ll bounce back.

Shifter Class – Patrick Kleine, Dan Monteiro & Blake Lilly

A strong showing from our shifter squad. Patrick qualified P2, Blake P4, while Dan unfortunately didn’t start. In the pre-final, Patrick finished P3, Blake P4, and Dan was disqualified. But the final reshuffled the deck: Dan charged back to take a podium in P3, Patrick finished P5, and Blake rounded out the team effort in P7. Intense battles and wheel-to-wheel action defined the class.

Briggs LO206 Junior – Teagan Kleine

Teagan showed strong form in this class, qualifying P3 and finishing the pre-final in the same spot. In the final, contact from another driver forced him off-track and down to P4. Once again, no penalties were given, but we’ll respond the best way we know how—by being even faster next time.

It may not have been the weekend we hoped for, but it was one filled with learning, progress, and perseverance. We’re proud of every driver who wore the Scuderia Estoras colors, and we’re already preparing for redemption in the next round.

Thank you to all our supporters, families, partners, and fans—see you at Race 3!
